Thandeka makes amazing progress

hspace=10

Remember Thandeka* the little girl who was born with Apert’s Syndrome? She’s now had more surgery to separate some of her fused fingers – and you’ll be pleased to know that she’s coming along really well in learning to use her hands.

She’s also able to stand up on her own; her balance has improved and her speech is much better.

Thandeka will celebrate her 4th birthday this July and is a real ‘little mother’ to the babies – always wanting to love them and help wherever she can.

She also just started her first term at a pre-school for children with special needs.

The operation to enlarge her skull must still be faced in the future but she’s a courageous little girl and will have plenty of love and support to see her through the ordeal.

Thank you for believing in Thandeka’s potential and for helping us develop it.

* Not her real name
