If we could all hear one another's prayers, God might be relieved of some of his burdens.

Message from our Sister Superior

The Prophet Micah helped all of us when he wrote:
“This and only this is what the Lord God asks of you: to act justly, to love tenderly, and to walk humbly with your God” Micah (6:8).

We must always reflect what acting justly means for us today. As people of faith, are we acting justly in our everyday lives towards those around us – our families, our children, our neighbours?

Doing justice is God’s primary expectation of us. And it must permeate all our daily interaction with those to whom, and with whom, we care.

Acting justly begins for us by making Nazareth House the centre of hospitality where all feel welcome and safe. “Doing justice” affirms all people, and honours all people in their uniqueness and their giftedness. When we act justly we make love possible.

“Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable... Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals.” (Martin Luther King Jr.)

You are someone who has grasped the elements of justice and embraced the spirit of giving. We are blessed that you share in our vision, and enable us to continue in our ministries justly ... thank you.

God Bless.
